My Inspiration

There is so much to learn in this world, and it is my curiosity that keeps pushing me to learn more. I love to learn. Sharing what I have learned with others in a fun, focused and practical way is what keeps me inspired.

My goal in life – To B~ME, do what I love and share tips, tools and positive energy with others.

  • Attended many conferences across the country focused on education, health and wellness, sports and business
  • Consulted -as an Independent Educational Consultant assisting students and parents with high school and post high school educational planning. Specialty was working with high school athletes aspiring to continue their athletic career in college.
  • Traveled across the United States to approximately 250 college campuses to collaborate and learn about the different programs offered to benefit students.
  • Volunteered for the Dempsey Center, Maine Cancer, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Club
  • Travel Experience both for learning and leisure

  • Other interests: Dance, Table Tennis, Cornhole, Hiking, Travel – Sports that I can hit, throw, catch and kick a ball.

College

A Division 1 Softball Pitcher/Player scholarship athlete-A starting pitcher as a freshman. University of Rhode Island Female scholar-athlete of the year for the State of Rhode Island.

Created a program for college athletes: RAM CHOICES -to help student-athletes who struggled with substance abuse receive support without losing their scholarships. Invited to the National Conference.

Most Impactful

Being honored by a 7th grade girl I coached in softball at her middle school’s annual Hero’s night.

Coordinated Project Storyboost -connected college students with elementary students in Portland Public Schools to help improve literacy.

Helped design, develop and deliver a nationally recognized school counseling program at Westbrook High School.

Coordinated and co-facilitated the Westbrook High School mentoring program matching upper class students with freshmen and organizing various activities throughout the semesters to bridge the gap and create a connected and thriving school community.

Announced for High School sports for 15 years at Fitzpatrick Stadium and the Portland Exposition Building: men’s and women’s soccer, field hockey, men’s and women’s lacrosse, wrestling and men’s and women’s basketball.

Recovered from 2 ruptured Achilles Tendons and Drop Foot.
